Kristen Schulte is a Digital Transformation Specialist at PROVING GROUND. As a Licensed Architect and experienced manager, Kristen joined Proving Ground with firsthand insight into the opportunities of applying new processes and technologies in architectural practice. In practice she oversaw multiple concurrent projects from start to finish with an emphasis in BIM management, consultant coordination, and shop drawing review. Having spent much of her career digging into the details of design and construction, she is interested in working with the many players of the construction industry to advance innovative solutions.
As a summer intern with Proving Ground, she contributed to our 2016 Summer SDK where she developed ideas to improve efficiency of design and documentation into proof of concept workflows based in both Dynamo and Grasshopper. This led to the creation of several novel tools focused on building code analysis, coordination enhancements, and user experience measurement.
Kristen recently completed her Master of Architecture student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was a key participant in a summer design-build project, Emerge, in the Oregon forest near Eugene. This project is featured in Arch Daily and received a 2017 Wood Design Regional Excellence Award. As the student with the most practice-related experience, her role was to develop the Revit model including many of the details; and lead the site survey and foundation efforts.
