Proving Ground’s 8 weeks of summer prototyping has come to a close. The past two blog posts provided a small preview of some of the things we have been sketching on and making together.
As believers in a data-driven process, we have assembled a collection of workflows that were created this summer to highlight the potential for leveraging data and computation for a better built environment. We have borrowed the term “Software Development Kit” (SDK) to signal the growing connection between the tools we make and what we make with our tools.
By making these tools open source, we hope the design community can pick up on the threads we have started with these samples and make some powerful workflows.
Each dataset is a starting point for continued development and consideration. By making these tools open source, we hope the design community can pick up on the threads we have started with these samples and make some powerful workflows. Each folder contains the project files along with a ‘ReadMe’ to help you get started. We have also outlined the applications and plugins that are needed to take advantage of the datasets.
A special thanks to Kristen Schulte, Elizabeth Heldridge, and Charles Weak for their creative energy, critical thought, and ingenuity this summer!
We hope you enjoy them!
